I'm upgrading the RAM in a seven year-old VAIO VGC-RB50. Should I match the CAS latency of the current RAM, or will I do better to buy RAM with a lower latency?
Also, do I need to worry about timing, or will the motherboard self-adjust?
Its recommended to use the exact RAM(same timings,speeds and voltages),because if the settings differ,then you have to change them and it can make it unstable.
