  1. Well the E4500 2.2GHz is an Intel Core 2 Duo manufactured on a 65nm process, and thus, you could probably upgrade to 65nm Core 2 Duo E6000 series processor.
  2. http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/inspd530/EN/OM/HTML/appendix.htm

it did come with quad cores so you should be fine, however there is a slight chance that it may not be set up for the quad you would like to use. the only way to know is to ether find a stock inspiron with that processor or contact dell, good luck with the second option. that said i highly doubt you will have an issue
  3. it dint came w/ a quad core its a dual core
  4. yes yours didn't come with a quad core, but it was an option on that model so the bios should be set to accept one
  5. so a 2 Duo E6000 should be compatible with my mother board
  6. first you wanted to get a quad core now your looking at a dual?

yes a e6xxx should be fine though I don't think that they would be a worthwhile upgrade.
  7. You should be able to upgrade to a Core2quad of some variety without trouble.
  8. robablu u understand wrong a have a dual core i want a quad core
