I need to know what is the max safe temp for 250 gts card.
Mine gives me 85 - 100 on full load. Touches 100 rarely, 65 at ideal.
I all ready got an extra fan for it.
Plz tell me is that temp safe, cause i heard ppl saying after 120 u can expect a critical damage, Nvidia says 105 is max safe limit.
Let me also tell u all that i live in India so my ambiance is 27- 30.

Some 1 else also has the same issue !!

That's a little bit high, u must do something to make that card more cool than that...
That is a high temps, even your card can stand up to 105'C it still dangerous.
have u tried to clean the card from dust?
Re-apply the thermal paste?

But ru sure that my card is faulty ??
I have read many ppl who own a Galaxy 250 gts having same temp.
N its mostly because of the physical design of the card,
(the entire heat sink is in a blue plastic case).
I also ran a heat test on my card its gives a max of 105,
then it stops 2 increase.
And 105 is the max safe limit as per Nvidia.

Have a look @ the link i gave above.

See the photos also !!

Yep, the 250 runs cold.. I have a BFG GTS 250 (1GB) that idle's at 36c and maxes out at 58c with fan speed on"AUTO". My room temp never exceeds 30c.

The best thing you can do is RMA the card. If the second card performs the same then it is your case/ambient temp, not the actual card.

I spoke with Galaxy for a replacement or a refund.
But the only response i got from them is that the above given temps are fine,
There is no issue with ur card.
