I've been building a PC for my stepson's 15th birthday from spare-ish parts:

Q6600 @ 3GHz
Asus P5W DH Deluxe
4GB DDR2 Patriot
Sapphie 4870 (512Mb)
Hauppauge WinTV Nova-TD500 (twin DVB-T tuners)
250Gb WD HDD (splt 50:50 into C: and D: drives)
500Gb WD HDD for TV Recordings
Hiper 580W Type-R modular PSU
Arctic Cooler Freezer Pro Rev.2
"Ferrari" case (he chose it) - http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Components/Cases/MIDI+To...
Creative 5.1 speakers
Dell 2007FP screen (20 inch 1600x1200)
Multi-card reader and bluetooth built into case.

I'm reasonably pleased with how it turned out, but I know he would really appreciate your opinions on it. If you were 15 and your mates had Xbox360/PS3's, would you be happy with this?

This isn't me showing off my e-peen, it simply is a 15 year old lad's first PC and he would really appreciate your opinions on it. Any feedback appreciated, thanks. :)

It should run most games on high or very high settings. What more does he need to know>

Thanks Dmitry. What he wants to know is if this is a PC he should be proud of, or one he should hide when his mates come round! I've told him it's pretty decent, but he doesn't always trust me. It would make his day if he could get some opinions from you guys.

If i didn't have a PC and got that, i would be happy. Some people don't even have food to eat so be happy with what you have and try to work hard to better your wants needs in life. If his friends try to put him down over what PC he has ( There not really friends anyway )

Like the OP said it would runs games well
