Upgrade xps 720 to intel 7i

Hello,
I have a XPS 720 with a E6750, 2.66, 4MB, Core Duo-Conroe, G0. Can it be upgraded to a quad processor?

Hi newcomer and welcome to the Toms' hardware forum.

No, you can't upgrade your processor for an i7 processor. Why?, your current processor is socket 775, that means that you mobo too, the i7 is socket 1156 or 1366.

Finally, the XPS 720 comes with a BTX mobo, so, IMO safe your money and build a better rig in the future.

Non H2C based XPS720 support Q6600 2.4GHz quad core, QX6700 2.66GHz quad core and QX6800 3.0GHz quad core.
