Dvi ribbon cable

Hello

I am trying to make a DVI cable using a Flat Flex cable. I matched the wires from connector to connector, but It does not work. I am using a single link (18 pins). Is it important that the wires be twisted pairs? I m using a flat flex ribbon cable.

Perhaps you just forgot to connect a wire or two? AFAIK the setup should work, so long as both ends of the cable are properly connected and working.
