OK so i need a little help with a cheep system for my Niece, This is what i had in mind, but don't know if i should go with a dual core or this Quad Core and if i should put a add in GPU the mobo has a ATI 4200 ( she likes to play around with her girlfriends Pics that's all Photoshop is used for.

You may wanna go with the x4 630 that should drop to $100 soon. For a workload like that, ATI's integrated are more than enough. They are far more powerful than anyone else's integrated. They are even capable of some light gaming. One of the faster dual cores or the athlon ii tri-cores are good options too. (I use a triple core in my gaming computer.)

You may want to go with DDR3, but I suppose that depends on if it's likely to be upgraded before AM3 is over (which will be at least a year or two)

So same ATI graphics 4200 onboard DDR3 and the 2.8 quad core so 37 more not bad What do you think

I don't know the relative prices, but boards with HD 3300 graphics perform better than that.

Sounds good to me. Too bad none of these athlon ii's were out when I bought my phenom ii x3 720.
