Which ram to get /w:
- i7 930
- asus p6x58d-e
- msi lightning II 5870 (crossfire later)
- samsung spinpoint f3 1tb
- 750hx corsair psu

Pi series seem a bit better, but those ripjaws have nearly flawless ratings... 96% 5 eggs. Price similar; ripjaws $10 cheaper.

I don't have one yet, but who knows what will happen in the future :p  Are there fans that are compatible with the PI series? I don't want to get the 'inferior' ram just because of physical issue.

Yeah I actually have heatsinks similar to the PI series on my older Corsair DDR2. It just fits with my ( huge ) ZeroTherm Nirvana NV120. Just be sure. It will be a pain to have to return something. When you pick the cooler you want start a new thread asking if anyone has that combo.
