Recently I bought a ASUSEAH 4650 512mb 64b(x)2 and I'm rather unimpressed with its results.
When compared against my older Zotac 9400gt 512mb card its ridiculous.

My Asus card scores a 3.7 for Aeros, and only a 5.8 for gaming graphics.
My Zotac card scores a 4.9 for Aeros, and a 5.9 for gaming graphics.

When playing some game, my Zotac is 10frames higher with the Asus left behind with some slowing taking effect.
Is this common for this card or is it something else. Everything i have read said the 4650 is supposed to be a good card and better then the 9400-9500gt lineup, but im finding that hard to believe.

It might be better than the 9400GT--but not by very much. The 4650 is about as good as the 9500GT. Both are low-end cards.
Also your monitor is pretty big for a low end card like this.

If you want graphics performance you are going to have to pay a little more for a gaming card...

If you can return or sell that card and you want to post your specs and budget we might be able to help you find a better one.

Thanks for the reply's,

contacted Amd about the issues, I kept getting a tech specialist who had no idea what the hell he was doing.
So I just stopped contacting them after numerous times telling the rep this was a PCI-E card not AGP and the patches I kept getting sent to were pointless.
