Hi!

while I was installing win 7 ultimate, I read the suggestions and help the installation program offered. And it said: first, think about if you want a 32 or a 64 bits OS. What the hell? after that there were no options! I had to install the 32 bit version!. So, the question is: is there any possibility of transforming win 7 32 into 64? Or I have to have the 64 bits OS version?

THX

What version of Windows did you buy? OEM versions only come with either a 32-bit or 64-bit disk. Retail versions come with two disks, one is 32-bit and the other is 64-bit.

There is no way to upgrade from a 32-bit to a 64-bit OS without doing a fresh install of the OS.

Indeed.

Also, I've never seen it actually talk about that because I've always picked one of the discs on purpose. And I've installed win7 alot. Both kinds. It just kinda goes.
