Advise on my new rig , did i make a wrong buy?

i would like to check i have just bought my new system

specs are

:
I7 860
ASUS H55-M PRO
ASUS 5770
PSU 600 W OCZ Mod stream pro

heard that I7 860 running on h55 motherboard is a bad choice?

heard from my friend that "The motherboard just can't afford to take the power draw from the 4 core/8 threads cpu "

is that true?

Are you sure that it isn't an ASRock H55M Pro motherboard? I don't see the point of buying an H55 motherboard and an i7-860 that requires a discrete video card, but the power regulation should have no issues handling that CPU. You can safely ignore your friend's comments because that CPU is on the support list.
