PC Monitor Stuck in Hybernation Mode

My computer monitor appears to be stuck in hybernation mode since we had a power outage 2 days ago. My computer is plugged into a power surge protector so I don't see how it could've been damaged. The lights on the computer themselves indicate that's fine....however, the monitor screen is blank and the light is blinking orange (regularly solid blue). My PC is 2 years old....it's HP Slimline and the monitor is Proview.

Could you try another monitor? This will help you determine if the issue is really with your monitor, and eliminate your computer as a "suspect".
