1066 mhz ram 800mhz ram difference

Hello,
hi
my doubt is that i got 800mhz ddr2 ram on my pc
and would like to change to ddr2 1066mhz
but is the difference between them is just the speed or the got like different # of pins
want to upgrade to 6 or 8 gb if posible, and to 1066mhz--MSI 7525(boston)---

1) The difference is in the MHz (1066 vs 800) and most likely timings (Cas/Latency).

2) In the end, jumping up to DDR2 1066 will provide little noticeable benefit over DDR2 800. You would be just as well of adding additional DDR2 800 instead.
