Guys,

I have a Acer Aspire 5745DG 3d with the following specs

Intel Core i5 480m 2.7GHZ
8GB PC3 10600
1GB Nvidia GeForce GT 425m

I really would like to increased the performance of my latop when it come to graphics without overheating.. of course

would you recommend my GPU to be overclocked?

GPU specs is

GPU clock: 560 MHz
Mem clock:800 MHz
Shader: 1120 MHz

can i modify this to 700, 900, and 1400MHz respectively?
please tell me if it would still be ok with those settings.
I think i can modify this using the Nvidia tools built in with my graphics drivers

Solution
you can overclock it but the negatives to it are;

increased battery usage
increased heat
your laptops power supply may not be upto the job.

You may only see an increase of say 5FPS in some games...and you can get that by simply adjusting a couple of settings in game.
