Hey all,

I have read reviews till my eyes have bled but I can't seem to narrow down the options. The internet seriously needs a "Best monitor for the money article"!!!

SPECS...

I'm looking for a 23" -24" screen.
Less than 5ms response.
Obviously quality PQ.
Want to spend up to ~$300

Most interested in the "best bang for the buck" type of suggestion

I was looking at the Samsung XL 2370.

Seems to have good reviews but i'm unsure if it is a good deal or not.

Anything else you guys would recommend?

Thanks!

Samsung makes some good stuff. I used to only use their professional series crt's back when I did photo editing but now I don't do that much anymore.
if your looking to get alot for your money I've bought two acer flat panels and they perform great. An X203H 20" that I paid a hundred for last year when it was on sale and then a month later a 22" V223W again on sale for a hundred. This was middle of 09 so they are about 9 months old each and work great with no dead pixels and get used daily. Both have vga and dvi inputs. the stand has minor tilt adjustment and no pivot so if you need that select one of their other models that does, they are about $15 more.

I find the color gammut of lcd's isn't on par with crt's but I dont think any lcd panel is. I still have my calibrated samsung 22" PF if I need to do any serious photo editing.

Tom's used to have great monitor reviews, that one aspect of this site I miss.

Edit - btw - if I were in the market for a new monitor, I'd be looking at LED backlight 120hz models but they dont make led backlit monitors in that size yet so I would have to settle for one listed
