Graphix Card Final Query

I am going to buy i5 750 , my monitor will be around 16 to 18 inch widescreen,
4 GB Ram DDR3.
I asked a question before on tis forum, That if I get HD 5770
will I be able to play the following games-
Batman Arkham Asylum
Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare 2
Prince of Persia 2008
Dragon Age Origins etc.
with same visual splendor as 5850
One of the answers said that Ati does not support PHYSX, so Arkham asylum is heavy on it so my experience will be marred.
Is there a way to enable PHYSYX on Ati with GOOD FPS, if not is it worth to buy comparable Graphix card of Nvidia in 180$ price range or is PHYSYX not that important Or is ATi 5770 Better than Xfx 260

You enumerated 4 games. One of which is using PhysiX. Now...what I ask of you, please use your common sense. 1/4 uses PhysiX, and those are the games that you play, in reality the statistics are somewhere close to 1/100 games launched use nVidia PhysiX. Do you think that is worth getting a card which is a generation old to play 1 in 4 games(or even 1 in 100). Let me stretch that even further...do you think that buying a card for a specific game or a limited set of games is a logical act?

    Since Your monitor is small
Go for 5750 instead of 5770
You'll get good enough performance upto 1920x1200 in all those games.

PhysX is a matter of personall choice, if you ask me.
You know, I have played all games you listed except Prince of Persia.
    In Batman,
I didn't felt the need for PhysX at all.
Yes, I have an ATI card, but then again, It just makes the Graphics a little complicated and if you have a low-end card Turning on PhysX may spoil your gaming experience

If you really want to go for PhysX,
    Then go for GTS 250
It performs the same as 5750 HD, but cuts DirectX11.

I would recommend you to go for 5750 HD

  3. Yup, for 16 to 18 inch of monitor then 5750 is enough, but 5770 would be good in the future and u can CF it later when the prices cheaper... :)
To me, i don't care about all of this "PhysX" at all. I would go for a newer tech, 5xxx series, less heat, less power consumption and dx11 ability.
