Should I push it any further?

OK so I just recently started to Overclock my FX-8120 and I got it to 4.5 ghz with i think it was 1.25 extra volts... it is running stable and i was wondering if i should push it to 4.6 or even 4.7

my temps on 4.5
underload(using y-cruncher) I get a max of 49 Celsius(using core temp)

I am using a Hyper 212 plus too cool my chip

note: how much would the 4.5 or higher overclock affect the CPUs life expectancy?

You could push it a bit more, tough your overclock looks really good, with max temp of 49 under load. As CPU´s life expectancy is one of your concern, then I´d not go any further.

If you really want an improvement in performance, then get yourself a SSD, as the HDD might be the bottleneck of your system.

I´ve got a SSD recently, which made my system fly!

lol ok thank you do you recommend any? also do you think that would boost a bf3 performance i get 40-60 now with the 4.5 ghz and a gtx 670 power

note i was thinking of getting a second gen fx chip when a few months after they come out so maybe i can push it further how hot is too hot?

one last note how much power do you suppose the 8120 is taking from me?

A SSD will definitively improve BF3 performance, specially in a 64 people scenery -- it will make things load a lot faster.

The max temperature for the 8120 is 61C you can´t go that hot with AMD like you´d with Intel.

SSDs use a bit more power than HDD, but as they are faster at the end they use less power.

Also if your system doesn´t use all the 850W -- and it won´t use it, then electricity should not be a problem.
