Hi, I'm new to these forums but I wanted some help regarding a build I intend to put together.

Here are the Specs:

1.Processor- AMD Phenom II X3 720 BE

2.CPU Heatsink- COOLER MASTER Hyper 212

3.MotherBoard- ASRock M3A785GXH/128M AM3 AMD 785G HDMI ATX AMD Motherboard

4.Hard Drive- Western Digital Caviar Blue WD5000AAKS 500GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

5.Case- Antec Two Hundred Black ATX Mid Tower Computer Case

6.RAM- Crucial 2GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333

7.DVD Burner- Sony Optiarc Black 24X DVD+R

8.Power Supply- Antec EarthWatts EA650 650W

I have a 8800 GT that I'm going to use in the mean time and I also have windows 7 32bit already.

So is this a good build as in will everything hypothetically work when assembled? Thank you for your time.

yep everything looks good to me, all in all it looks good on paper :)

but if you are thinking of running any current games with it and your on a tight budget you might want to skimp down your case and hard drive and upgrade to a ati 4650,4870, or gtx 260.... jus a little heads up...

o and if your really on a budget try and get combo deals from newegg...

Here's a high quality board that is only a few bucks more after the rebate: GIGABYTE GA-MA790XT-UD4P for $95. ASRock isn't exactly known for quality boards, and the one you picked is more expensive because it has 3 PCIe 2.0 slots (16x/8x/4x). The Gigabyte board will run Crossfire/SLI at the same speed as the cheaper board, and be more expandable.

Ok then, I replaced the HDD and MoBo with the ones mentioned.

as for the graphics card, I plan on buying a pair of 4850's in a month when I get some money, so I will use to 8800 for a little while.

Anyway, thank you for your replies. I think I finally have the final build I will use.
