HI, I've noticed that when I turn on My PC, it turns off after 3-4 seconds, and then, by itself turns back on and boots normally,It was fine yesterday when I turned it on, and now This happens every time I turn it on. is it my PSU Dying or the death throes of my Motherboard?
PSU is only 4 months old and the Mobo is 11 months old, and has a busted 3pin case fan socket when a fan shorted a while back and the 12v sensor connection on the PCB was burnt and had to be repaired.

Is the system overclocked?

If so, when some boards boot and find a problem with the OC settings, they shutdown and reset the BIOS to a bootable configuration, then reboot.

Or it could be the PSU.

+1 what jsc said.

Start your computer, access the BIOS at startup, and check the BIOS settings.

Another option is to simply get into the BIOS and select the restore default settings option and save it. Once the computer is up and running, shut it down completely, and then start the pc. Let us know if it starts up okay.

i'd get a new psu anyway and use that one as a backup, if you have the same issues then you know its the oc settings

Thanks guys, jsc, yes it is OC'd, to 3.48Ghz... or at least it was, I turned everything back to stock, until I can figure this out. Done that too JohnnyLucky, and I also cleared the Cmos, and I also removed the fans one by one then the Drives, also plugged it to the wall socket directly thinking that my 1kw AVR is at fault but... no luck, anyway it still boots and Runs normally after the switching off and on at the start after shutdown, as jsc said maybe it is the PSU.... I'll just wait for my new Mobo to see if it really is the PSU.
