Is this 3 monitor solution possible.workable?

I am looking to get a three monitor solution where the center monitor is a 24'' widescreen, and the monitors on the end are 19'' or 20'' but are fixed in the verticle position. I have never seen a multi-monitor solution that mixed verticle and horizontal formats, so is this possible? I would like one contiguous desktop so I can drag windows from one monitor to the other.

If this is possible, should I get a vid card with two out puts for the verticle montitors and another card for the main monitor? And if the larger center monitor will be the primary use one, should the vid card have higher specs?
