Window 2000 XP home edition power scheme

Hello : I have two power management option with my Toshiba laptop . One is microsoft and other is Toshiba power management. When I licked on power options under performance and maintenance, a dialog window
pops out and tell me to use Toshiba power option,. If I move cursor into microsoft power option, everything will grayed out !

How do I disable Toshiba option and enable Microsoft power option ?

I have try command Prompt method of POWERCFG / restorepolicy but did not work

Generally, the manufacturer's power utility provides better control than the generic Windows utility.

However, if you REALLY want to use the Microsoft utility you will need to uninstall the Toshiba utility, BUT BE WARNED - you might lose some of the power saving capabilities of your laptop.
