I've heard that a y cable dvi to dvi + vga will give an extended desktop, not a cloned screen. I'm sceptical myself but I was told that nvidia drivers allowed this to work

The first link is the guys posts, the second link shows some pictures, note the dvi heads, not dms59 but dvi!

Has anyone else pulled this feat of magic off?

i am using 2 screens (extended desktop) there is a dvi and a vga output on my single nvidia video card, I use them both. what is your setup what video card do you have? most should do this as my card is over 6 years old. if you have 2 vga monitors there is something that switches a dvi port to vga.

I'm aiming for a triple monitor setup on a single 8800 gt. There's two heads so dual monitor works but would like to join the elusive triple monitor club:)
