Cannot connect Asus laptop to LG tv using HDMI ports. 1 hdmi out port on notebook, 2 hdmi inputs on tv. When I try to connect my laptop I get the following messages on my tv: searching for signal, and then either "no signal" or "invalid format" I have tried the following:
Rolled back and updated Nvidia driver for GeForce GTX 260 M.
Changed settings in Nvidia control panel.
Changed both HDMI inputs to "PC" on LCD TV.
Updated Realtec Audio driver and switched audio output to HDMI.
The HDMI cable and monitor are fine as my son was able to imediatly connect to my LG LCD HDMI using my cable in his Sager laptop with Nvidia chipset.
My laptop came with Vista and I installed free Windows 7 premium 64. I am getting the run around from Asus, Nvidia, and Best Buy Geek Squad. I want to be able to hook up laptop to LCD TV for Netflix etc. I need some help.
