Hello I bought a pny gts 250 can it run with a AMD Athlon 64X2 dual core processer.

So long as you use a mobo to connect the two, sure why wouldn't it?

Yes it can, but a lower clocked X2 will bottleneck that GPU in many games. The bigger question is, can your PSU handel it? If it can then go for it, if you are unsure, then perhaps you should research your PSU before you plug a GTS250 in your system and kill the whole thing.

Did you remember to plug in the PCIe 6 pin power connectors to the GPU?
Try removing and reseating the GPU, then double check all data and power cables in your system.

Please post the rest of your system specs including the PSU brand, wattage and +12v amperage.

Yes, that most likely means your power supply cannot handle the card
