Which temperature do you trust?

I am trying to figure out which temp readings are the correct ones. Core Temp says my i7 3770K running at 4.5 on air is hitting the low 70's max under full load. Asus's AI suite is saying the CPU temp is maxing out at 51C. So which temp is the right one or would you go with over the other?

Thoughts? Not Facts?? OK.

I thought I saw a response on the ASUS site about this. They said that their temps measure something different, I think, as though, whereas HWMonitor, et al., measure individual core temps, AISuite measures the temp of the package, or something like that. And that's why you see lower temps with AISuite.

I measured my temps with HW and the rest, and then set my fan speeds according to the corresponding AISuite temps. Regarding OC limits, I go with HW, et al.

I know that's not the best technical explanation, but those are my Thoughts.

Anyway, sometimes you see glitches in temps (and occasionally voltages) in HW and OCCP. According to ASUS -- I think -- running HW and AISuite causes these glitches, and they are not real spikes in temps and volts.
