The video controller is normally embedded in the display driver set. Go to your manufacturers site and look for driver downloads. If your computer is an old one the drivers may be located in archived files. I have an old Toshiba Satellite laptop, and found a zip file for my display driver. I downloaded this set unzipped it and placed it into my documents file.
Next you need to open the control panel, locate the hardware tab, and then the device manager.
Select the offending Video controller located in other devises and right click.
select upgrade driver and point the app to your display driver set.
The app will search the display driver file and automatically install the missing video controller set.
I hope this works for you.
