Raid 0 w/ two different SSD's

Hello any one who is reading this.

I'm not sure if this can be done or not and searched the forum and couldn't find an exact answer. I have a 60 gig and a 30 gig ssds, can I set them up as a raid configuration?

In other words. I want to do a fresh install and set these two ssd's in a raid 0, can that be done? Not what is recommended or anything else. Will it work, can it work?

I believe it will but it will only be 60 gb total as the 60gb will take on the 30gb size for raid purposes. If im not mistaken.

vrumor is correct.

RAID performance is always based upon the drive with the lowest capacity and slowest read/write speeds. That's why it's always recommended to use identical drives when creating a RAID array.

You are not mistaken. He could use JBOD, but would lose TRIM. I would install them as separate drives.
