XFX 7970 BIOS FLASH

i currently have an xfx 7970 black edition, current clocks are 1050/1450. i cant go any further because i can not adjust the voltage for some reason.

if i try to go any higher it freezez after an hour of gaming.

i was wondering if it is possible to flash this bios to my card http://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios [...] 20813.html

and will it be unstable if i do?

I don't recommend flashing BIOs unless you are having issues as it can be risky. Are you not getting enough performance from your card? OC'ing would only give you a few frames most likely anyway.

i've bricked two cards trying to flash bios. with 7970 you can increase the card's voltage by using msi afterburner

thats what i have been trying to do with no luck

i have the xfx 7970 black edition, i have the single dvi with the bios switch, i understand this one is not voltage locked.

however i cannot unlock the voltage slider in afterburner. i have edited the config file, enabled unnoficial overclocking, added the line i agree ect, i have set voltage control to 1, voltage minitoring to 1,. any other suggestions?
