Best wired router

Hey guys,

I really need a new router. I am wondering what is the best wired router I could grab with ~100$. I need the feature to make a virtual private network also!
You can post wireless router, but it don't need a wired network so if you think I may be satisfied by one of these, feel free to post!

I prefer the Dlink ....if you don't want wireless, the Dlink 4100 would be my choice ....$59 if it stays in stock long enough. Over the year's I have preferred Dlink's or SMC's. When troubleshooting game performance and reading forum threads, have had had to many "If you have a LinkSys router....." experiences.

Well I've bought the Dlink DIR-655 for 100$
Their support is somewhat sucky... I have a cable going through my wall from my modem to an other piece and I just called them to know which of the 7 led was the one I should be looking for when I plug the good cable (I have 5 differents cables going out of the wall to plug). I waited 7 mins on the phone until I discover the magical manual guide on the wizzard.
I must say linksys is not better too =) but hell... just a ****ing led!
