Hello,I'm new to all this and I need to find how to get this free comptible processor upgrae sice I cant even download silverlight the way it is now with the plentium 2,what are the steps I should take? Pls let Me know thanks Terry

Unfortunately your laptop is quite ancient.
Even if it where possible to upgrade your CPU (you can not on most laptops), it would be a total waste of cash.
On top of that, free CPU's are not just handed out, you would have to purchase one.

Even the most inexpensive of netbooks would run circles around your current laptop.
Your best option is to save your upgrade budget for a new system.
