Forum Windows 7 : General Discussion Bluescreen after "welcome to windows"

So, I built my new PC today, while using my old HDDs (with Windows already installed)

I Get to the Welcome to Windows screen, then I get a blue screen and it instantly restarts.

I Turned off the "automatic restart on error" and got the message:

This message exactly

ANY help is welcome.

When I try to reinstall Windows from my USB drive. I get

"Load Driver - A required CD/DVD driver is Missing"
And it won't Continue.

You need to reformat / reinstall Windows if you change your motherboard.

hey I had the same kind of issue. You are having a driver issue. Basically windows on installation installs hundreds of drivers specific to your motherboard and processor.

The old hard drive has all the wrong drivers for your new system. You can try and diagnose the drivers one by one in safe mode, but I recommend installing windows from a CD.
Be sure to make the cd drive with the install disk the boot drive on your mother board bios.

You should be able to fix this much more simply by just booting from the window7 DVD and using the system fix options.
