5970 with X6800 775 Core2Duo Extreme? Bottleneck!?!

Would it defeat the purpose to upgrade to a 5970 using a x6800 @3666? I would be replacing 8800gtx SLi.

I think you'd be better off with a 5850/5870, a 5970 is overkill and not needed at 1920x1200.
+ I think a C2D @ 3.6 will limit the performance somewhat.

If I were you I'd sell your 8800's and your 775 setup and go for a s1366 setup with a 5850/5870, I think you'd be much happier. : )
