Hi guyz,

Currently I have a Pentium 4 530 3.0 Ghz processor with 1MB L2 Cache and LGA 775 Socket support. I wonder if ASUS P5QPL-AM supports my processor, even though P4 isn't given in their supported list. (Celeron is supported)!!!.. If it doesn't support, please do guide me a cheap and reliable motherboard for my (P4) processor from ASUS / Gigabyte / MSI which has a PCI express x16 slot + onboard video graphics.

Thanks,
John!

I'm sorry but the P5QPL-AM doesn't have your Pentium 4 530 listed, an LGA 775 "may" work. However, my experience is not to use unsupported CPUs on MOBOs.
P5QPL-AM {CPU Support list -tab} - http://usa.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=08c0CULpvP1ZM9kT

I found (1) $99.99 MOBO SUPERMICRO MBD-X7SLM-L-O http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...
Specs:
ref 1 - http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/Core2Duo...
PCI-Express
1 (x16) PCI-Express Slot
1 (x4) PCI-Express (in x8 slot)
PCI
2x 32-bit 33MHz PCI (5V) slots
VGA Intel GMA950

I hope this Answers your question - Good Luck!

Thanks for the feedback. But unfortunately I don't trust SuperMicro. Instead I bought a GA-G31M-ES2L which supports LGA 775 P4..
