Forum Graphics & Displays : Graphics Cards AMD Athlon 64 supported video cards?

Hello I have an old emachines T6412 I am pricing out upgrading. Its for an AMD Athlon 64 2.2Ghz processor with a PCI Express 16x1 slot. Basically I want to know what I can run in this slot just to use it for basic use(no games, just online video watching and word processing mostly). Something simple and affordable, Im fairly limited in my hardware experience and need suggestions...Ideas?

Something cheap like the HD 4650 will be more than enough to run any 2D app, even some gaming(needs a 400w psu). But for ~$5 less you could get a HD 4550, maybe $15 less if you get one with a mail in rebate (needs a 300w psu).

Not sure what the psu is on the T6412, if its 300w then get the 4550 if not then upgrade it and get the 4650.

I should say that is the only difference.
