I recently purchased a HIS Radeon HS 4670 1GB GDDR3 PCIe from newegg.com for my HP Pavilion P6120F. I also got a Corsair 400w power supply for it.

The card does not have a PCIe power connector, and I have looked around online and 400w should be plenty for it. However, when I installed it and connected via DVI (cable is fine, monitor is fine) I get a blank screen. As far as I know it gets power as the fans spin, but that's it.

Do I need a higher wattage PSU or think my card is DOA and I should have HIS replace it?

Thanks for any help.

This isn't going to be much help.
I've got the same board and sometimes it chooses not to give any display. The monitor shows the Bios POST information but when Windows changes to graphics mode, the monitor goes into stanby because it is no longer receiving a signal.

However, the machine IS running. If I use remote desktop from another computer, then I can see that everything else is running OK.

I wonder if it has more than one socket and it's choosing the wrong one? I'll have to have a look.
