Perfect motherboard for me?

I'm upgrading old 4870 build.

For a cpu, I choose the 740 BE with the arctic cooling cooler. I'm going to use Crossfire'd 5750's. With 800gb green caviar hard drive.

Now, I don't know what motherboard to use. I'd like to try to unlock the 4th core on the cpu, but if I can't, hopefully I would like to oc it to around 3.5GHz without voltage tweaks. I would also like the latest 800 series chipsets so I won't have to upgrade until 2011 Christmas :)
My budget is capped at 150 for the motherboard, nothing over please!

Also, what ram do you recommend? I heard you need 'AMD approved' ram in order to oc it on certain boards or something. My budget cap for ram is 100$.

Thanks

  1. The board you linked to is fine. I would personally have selected a similar board from Asus, MSI or Gigabyte. With a BE CPU you can overclock with out affecting the ram speed but I have seen the AMD approved ram statement proved wrong many times.
  2. alright thanks. Is there a guide to chipsets on the forum? I've seen it before and I can't find it now :s

Is there an msi board similar to this one at the same price? I really like them =)

EDIT: Will I be better off buying a 880g motherboard from a more reputable brand?
  3. more expensive http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130274 FX chip set then there is the GX chip set http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130269 just wont let you crossfire at x16 x16.
  4. Okay, I'll see what I can cut back on with that board. Is there anything else by msi slightly cheaper? I wouldn't mind a 890g

Then there are the 790FX or GX boards you give away the USB3 and SATA6GB support but get a feature rich board http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130223 and http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130224
    For less money 790X http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813130265
