Hi, I am building 2 identical systems and have purchased a 12GB kit (6 x 2GB) DDR3 RAM.
Would I be degrading the RAM, if I was to split the 12GB kit into 2 of 6GB sets?
Should I have purchased 2 seperate 6GB kits?

Thanks for your help in advance.

It shouldn't make too much of a difference. Just put 3 sticks in each rig. If they're separated in the packaging, try to keep the groups together; if not, it shouldn't really matter.

The kits are designed to ensure that each stick is compatible when operating in the same mobo with any other from the kit. However, they are not dependant on each other in any way. It's perfectly fine to use three in one PC, and three in another.
