Hello,

I'm choosing a hard disk for my new built gamer PC, and I'm choosing between this two:

Samsung Spinpoin F3 1TB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] pk=HD103SJ

and

Seagate Barracuda 1TB
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Prod [...] 31000524AS

The price of this two hard disks identical here in Europe.

I also have a question, what is the difference between this two Seagate Barracuda 1TB hard disks - I mean, which one is newer, better, simply which one to choose between these two?

I really need to know, what to buy, because I'm ordering all the stuff tomorrow.

Thanks for your replies in advance.

Well, I've been playing this game for decades, and my answer is that it doesn't matter. They are all fine drives.

^ Yep.

I used to recommend the Spinpoint F3 because it was a few dollars cheaper but if they are the same price you might as well flip a coin.

OK, then I'll go with Seagate Barracuda 1TB 7200.12 32MB Sata3.

I still don't know the answer to the question below, I assume the 32MB one is newer, because it has more user ratings on neweg - anyone?

The one on the left has a faster seek time so would be a faster drive. It's showing as not available though.

Edit: Actually I believe that is a misprint. According to other places it's for sale the drive on the left has an identical latency and seek times as the other drive. The drive on the right is just a newer drive that replaced the one on the left.

Samsung was sold. So I will not choose it. Seagate is my choice, but if you care about your data use Raid.
