Do not use software over clock. Most auto over clocking programs will decrease RAM speed, over volt your processor making too much heat, and then you wont get much more speed added. Do it through the BIOS if possible, however I googled your motherboard and it IS an OEM board and most have locked BIOS. That being said, there is INTEL Extreme Tuning utility is made by intel and it gives you control over all of the settings unlike other non branded utilities like set FSB. Give the Intel utility a try.

***update***

I have since bought a new mobo and it came with OC software. Out of my 2.9ghz processor I am able to get a speed of 3.3378ghz. With a FSB of 653mhz. Any reply is welcomed as to how good that is.

I tried installing the intel Extreme tuning utlilty and it said that I was using an unsupported platform. I have a MSI-7104 mobo and an Intel Celeron D CPU. Any ideas why it will not install?
