XFX hd 4870 fully load power consumption

My xfx HD 4870 Stop displaying when i was playing Call of duty modern warfare 2 and need for speed shift. What i undertand is that my PSU is almost 3 years old.May be this is the reason my HD 4870 stop displying when playing games.
I Have all the latest drivers Installed for my PC.

My PSU Cooler MAster 550W with single PCI-e and two +12V rails having 16A each.

i have
Processor :intel C2D E8400 #Ghz
Motherboard: intel Dp35P.
Ram : Corsair Twin2 @ 2GB 800Mhz.
Graphic Card :XFX HD 4870 1Gb.
1 IDE WD 80GB HDD @ 7200rpm
1 Sata WD 250GB Hdd @ 7200rpm
1 Sata Seagate 500Gb 32MB cache HDD @ 7200rpm
USB mouse and keyboard.
PSU : cooler master extreme POwer 550W with 12V having 2 rail @ 16A each
my PSU is three year Old. :(

Yup . i have 1 PCI-e and on 2 @ 4 pin molex to PCi-e connector which comes with this card connected to card.

And i have another PC but its PSU is a Cheapo one :( .

and also if i have to buy new one i have a selected these two PSU's

corsair TX750
corsair HX750
corsair HX620

kindly tell me which one is better for me.

i search on the net and Found HX750 more powerfull then TX750 as HX750 is a professional one.

what you think. ?

Nothing like Professional one!
Both are good PSU.
750TX is around 20$ cheaper.
Also 750HX has better efficiency.

Get HX if you want modular or otherwise get the TX.
Both are very good PSU and you can always buy Corsair stuff with your eyes closed!!
