Cd drive not recognized

Hello,
my laptop is acer.its has been working very well with all sorts of cd drives but now its no longer accessing and detecting any cd room.WHAT CAN I DO? PLIZ ADVICE

can i ask why you have even used different ones before it stopped working? with always changing those out you could have bent a prong on the inside so that could cause it to not work.
