Intel got back in 1 quarter what they paid off AMD last year.

I would have expected that. Intels server offerings are very strong and provide the IT people something pretty fast. Q2 will probably be more of the same.

Hmm, I had posted the Q1 earnings results in the "AMD vs. Intel" sticky thread yesterday. Today that thread seems to have unstickied somewhere - wonder if there's a connection .

Anyhoo, AMD posts its results tomorrow IIRC. Rumor has it that the GF spinoff is already worth something like $325M to their bottom line..
