Where is better to conect 3rd party fans to h80 or mobo?

hello all

i have a new h80 and i didnt wanted the loud fan it came with so i changed them for 2 gentle typhoons. im using push/pull configurations.. my questions is . i have an corsair formula v that can control the fan.. my question is what is better connect the typhoons to the pump or to the mobo?

If you connect the fans to the mobo, they will often run at the maximum (rated) speed of the fan.

If you connect the fans to the H80, they will change speed depending on the temperature, so at idle they may slow down, but will pick up in speed if the CPU starts getting hot.

The GTs are quiet enough that it doesn't really matter.

My H80 and now H100 I plugged in my Aerocool sharks to the pump and they work well with the 3 step controller.
