Hello,

I have a FX-4100 Zambezi 3.6 GHz on a ASRock 970 Extreme 3 mobo. I am trying to OC it to get it up to 4.0 GHz at least. Currently I have the CPU Ratio (Using the ASRock Exteme tuning utility) at x21.0, HT Ratio x10, CPU Voltage at 1.4250 V.

According to CPU-Z the Core speed is 4190.9 MHz, bus speed 199.6 MHz, Multiplier x21.0. CPU has been steady at 64-66C.

Running a Blend test with Prime95. After 20 min of it running Worker #3 stopped but the other 3 are still going. What does this mean? Did one of the cores stop? Should I up the cpu voltage? This is the first time trying to OC so Im still a noob at it. Any help would be great.

dont use the utility use bios... worker stopped working (core) as the test wasnt stable enough so yes more volts needed although you should be able to get to 4ghz on auto with out having to change the volts if not then try in bios 4ghz with 1.35 volts then see what happens.

i had the asrock extreme 3 motherboard and wasnt impressed with it didnt really seem to overclock all that high so got rid of it maybe same problem...
