Is the temperature readings in Gigabyte Easy Tune accurate or is the Core Temp freeware better they each give a reading 10c different

Core temp is the way to go. Its the most accurate. Another one you can try is speedfan.

The true one is the one u read in bios..... :D 
I tend to go with GA easy tune since they are the manufacturer, they know what they put in their mobo...

anyway had u tried hwmonitor?

Core Temp for AMD
Real Temp for Intel

Real Temp was specifically designed for Intel, in the beginning Core Temp was AMD but Core Temp has now been expanded to cover Intel.

Since you are running a 2500K Real Temp is the best choice for your setup.
