Hi,

Below is a list of parts I am thinking of getting.

The system will be used for Sony Vegas 9 platinum pro for editing AVCHD at 1920x1080i and for playing Microsoft flight sim now and again, oh and a bit of music creation.
I will be overclocking to around 3.8Ghz with Turbo off.

So could anyone give me any pointers please?...........................................
These parts will cost £1360 including VAT and delivery, I will do a bit more looking around for cheaper prices but the delivery charges will have to be offset against any savings.

For your info I live in the UK

FSX is DirectX 10. The game is more cpu-intensive than gpu. If you don't plan to get the next one, you can go with a DX10 card like the HD 4860/4870/4890 to save a bit of money.

Swap the mobo out for ASUS P7P55D-E Pro which supports USB 3 & SATA 3.

The rest are good.
