When are the new nvidia gfx coming out?

The latest guesstimate is still March I think but I really wouldn't count on it.
I'd recommend selling your HD4870x2 and geting an HD5870 or HD5970

im going to sell the 4870x2 and wait until the new nvidia this card has put me off ati i dont even want the new 5870

hopefully then i can play crysis on high with no lag

Crysis 2 is a console game as well so it will likely be much easier on video cards than the original.

All talk is pointing towards March sometime. Of course who knows if its going to be at the beginning or the end of March. Might actually go into April if something comes up.

Define lag OP.

Despite it's age crysis keeps coming up on these forums and I don't know what people are expecting from it.

I don't suffer lag in it, I geet a pretty constant 30-40fps at the start at least(never play to the alien part) only lag I get is when the game auto saves.

I would look at your own computer before wasting money on a new gfx card, unless you play at 25 x 16 in which case your screwed.

You have a problem if you have lag in crysis with HD 4870 X2 even my HD 4850 don't produces lag in crysis with E7200 o/c 3.8 ghz.

About Fermi, he remind the HD 2900 xt (high consumption, the warm, noisy) the 300w of TPD it's huge

Fermi is going to be very hot and power hungry, but unlike the 2900xt, performance should be on par or better than Ati's current 5000 series.

yes we don't know what will happen to the upcoming card. but at least i think nvidia know what happen to ATI's 2900XT so maybe they will do something to prevent that from happening to their new line-up.

Don't sell you're 4870X2 to buy a 5870. The 4870 X2 is 200$, the 5870 is 400$. You would waste 200$ and have even lower preformace than before. If you're realy dead set on selling you're 4870 X2, i might want to buy it to trifire with my EAH4870


Also, whats up with you're lag in crysis? You shoudn't be lagging. Im running a a 4870 1 gb, A 2.4ghz core 2 E6600, and 8gb ddr2, at maxed out settings, 4x aa, 1680x1050, at 30fps on vista. You shouldn't be lagging with a 4870x2. It sounds like you have some wierd bottleneck. Are you using a 1.8ghz 2001 pentuim 4 cpu or some other realy crappy cpu?
