$800 gaming pc?

Ok, I've been bitten by the bug to get a new pc. I mostly want the processing power for some editing/rendering capabilites. Not so much dealing with multi-tasking, but will not rule it out.

Also, I consider myself an occasional gamer, and would like to keep up with the current games. At least 2 to 3 years...

So, I'm looking at: http://www.ibuypower.com/Store/Configurators.aspx?mid=97&t=c&c=2013481

Need your opinions please..

Thanks

My current 5 yr old machine:
Win XP Home
1 Sata 80 gig HD
Ram: 3 gig corsair value
Mobo: Intel 915GAG
Psu: Antec Neo-Power 650 modular
Geforce 8800GT
P4 3.0

  1. Looking at that build, If you want to do some gaming and rendering for the next 2-3 years you might want to rethink it.

    Suggestions:
    core i5 750 - $200
    ASUS P7P55D LGA 1156 - $150
    G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 - $115
    SAMSUNG Spinpoint F3 HD502HJ 500GB - $55
    SAPPHIRE 100283L Radeon HD 5770 - $170
    OCZ ModXStream Pro OCZ600MXSP 600W + COOLER MASTER RC-690-KKN1-GP combo - $130

    Total- $820
  2. I wont say it again, if you value your money and time, you'll keep away from nvidia chipset based mb. they are crap.
