RAM problem. New build help needed.

Hey guys,
I just finished putting together my new PC and I seem to be having a problem with my ram

I have G.SKILL PI Series DDR3 1600MHz (PC3-12800) 6GB (3x2GB) Triple Channel Kit (F3-12800CL8T-6GBPI)

and an ASUS P6T X58 Motherboard

It appears that only 4GB of my 6GB memory are recognized by the mother board. I have all 3 chips on. I've reset to default values in the BIOS and would appreciate if someone could tell me what I need to do to figure out if its a problem with the chips, the motherboard or the settings

Are you using a 32 bit operating system? If so you need to use a 64 bit OS to recognise the 6GB.

I've figured it out I think. The ram channel is malfunctional on my MB. I use a 64 bit system.
