Integrated graphics with a normal video card trouble

Hello, i have a question: do integrated graphic proccesors that come with the motherboard interfere with normal graphic cards such as gtx 260 , do they have any influence on games, or they are left behind and the computer uses the normal graphic card without noticing the integrated one.
